Who We Are
Quality Bio Green (QBG) is India’s leading biomass aggregation company, purpose-built to end stubble burning and power the nation’s Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) revolution. We are the critical link between India’s farming communities and its clean energy infrastructure — transforming crop residue that was once burned in fields into a valued, commercially traded energy feedstock.
We are a part of the Quality Group — a diversified industrial conglomerate with over four decades of manufacturing excellence, export relationships across three continents, and a reputation built on precision, reliability, and long-term commitment. That heritage of industrial discipline is what we bring to India’s most urgent environmental and energy challenge.
The Problem We Solve
Stubble Burning Is India’s Most Visible Environmental Crisis
Every post-harvest season, millions of tonnes of paddy straw and wheat stubble are set ablaze across Punjab, Haryana, and the Indo-Gangetic Plain. The practice — known as parali burning — is driven by the absence of a commercially viable alternative. Farmers burn because they have no time, no equipment, and no buyer for the residue between harvests.
The consequences are catastrophic: Delhi and North India’s air quality index spikes to hazardous levels, soil microbiomes are destroyed, and India’s carbon footprint takes a direct hit — all from a problem that is fundamentally economic in nature, not agricultural.
QBG’s Solution: Make Residue Worth More Than the Match
Quality Bio Green was built on a single conviction: stubble burning will stop only when farmers are paid enough to make collection worthwhile. We created the supply chain infrastructure — the Transient Collection Centres (TCCs), the logistics network, the farmer relationships, and the offtake agreements — that makes crop residue a reliable source of farmer income and a dependable CBG feedstock simultaneously.
Our Story
1982 — The Quality Group Is Founded
Quality Foils (India) Ltd. is established in Hisar, Haryana — a manufacturer of precision stainless steel strips, foils, coils, tubes, and pipes. Over four decades, the Group grows into a recognised name in Indian manufacturing, building export relationships across Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia. Three principles define the business: Quality, Innovation, and Commitment.
The Pivot — Recognising India’s Biomass Opportunity
As India set increasingly ambitious renewable energy and net-zero targets, the Quality Group identified a structural gap: India’s agricultural sector generates over 500 million tonnes of crop residue annually — biomass that is either burned or left economically stranded. At the same time, a new class of Compressed Bio Gas infrastructure was emerging under the government’s SATAT scheme — plants that desperately needed reliable, quality-assured feedstock supply chains.
Quality Bio Green Is Born
QBG was established to bridge that gap. We began with biomass aggregation — establishing TCCs in key agricultural zones across Haryana, onboarding farmers and village-level entrepreneurs, and building the operational infrastructure to receive, store, and dispatch crop residue at scale. From that foundation, we expanded into FOM distribution, Agri-Retail Hub operations, and farmer financing — creating a fully integrated rural clean energy enterprise.
